Recipe Ingredients:

1 tsp chili powder

1 tbsp ground cumin

1 lb chicken breast, diced into ¾-inch cubes

¼ tsp salt

Nonstick spray

1 large can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

1 small white onion, diced

¼ cup parsley

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 medium tomato, diced

2 tbsp olive oil

4 large whole-wheat pitas, split

1 cup plain low-fat yogurt

Preparation:

1. Mix chili powder, cumin, salt, and chicken in a large bowl.

2. Add nonstick spray to large skillet and cook chicken on medium until chicken is fully cooked, mixing occasionally, about 5 to 6 minutes.

3. Combine chickpeas, onions, parsley, tomato, bell pepper, and oil in mixing bowl.

4. Add cooked chicken and toss. Add salt if desired.

5. Cut pitas in half and fill with mixture. Top with yogurt.
